Here are a few updates from the past week in the world of grief and bereavement:

Parmenter Community Health Care received a $1000 grant for their Teen Grief Support Program. Parmenter is a free grief support service for children and has recently expanded into their Teen Grief Support Program. The program helps teenagers deal with the after effects of teen sibling suicide. They use creative arts to help learn how to cope with death. Hospice Care of the Southwest offers several grief support opportunities. If you or someone you know is dealing with grief in Amarillo, Texas, Hospice Care of the Southwest has announced new avenues to learning how to deal with grief. These include a “Monthly Grief Group for Men” and a class on “Coping with Grief during the Holidays”.

Brief and Bereavement Camp for Children and Youth

Camp Erin in Chicago is seeking volunteers! Camp Erin is a grief and bereavement camp for children and youth between the ages of 6 and 18. They are specifically looking for male volunteers to fill a specific need that they have.
