A recent article published by Time Magazine has taken a stab at trying to figure out why elderly couples can pass away in a short amount of time from each other. Most of us have either read a story or had personal experience of an aunt, uncle, or grandparent that seemed unable to continue once their counterpart had passed on. It is heartbreaking, yet romantic at the same time.
New studies that are coming out are showing that there may actually be scientific reasoning behind why this happens. Perhaps a broken heart is more than an emotional response?
