Anticipatory Grief

Join us for this interactive workshop as we explore the unique experience of anticipatory grief.  This workshop will allow participants to better understand how such an experience impacts a grieving family.  Learn ways to support both children and adult who are facing the impending loss of a loved one.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define anticipatory grief and mourning
  • Identify the unique complexities of the anticipatory loss experience
  • Discuss both the positive and negative effects of this anticipation
  • Learn therapeutic interventions and strategies to use with grieving families
