The course content is rooted in Claudia Allen’s Cognitive Disabilities Model, the Theory of Retrogenesis, and Kitwood’s Person-Centered Care. Participants gain the practical skills and confidence to make tangible improvements to their organization’s memory care program. Therapists and care partners who complete the One-Day Foundation Course and pass an online post-test within six months earn Dementia Care Specialist Certfication.
